Area of Specialization
Plant virology; isolation and characterization of plant viruses; virus detection techniques.
Research
The specific areas of my research are; 1) To characterize viruses that attack grapevines, fruit and nut trees, strawberries, and roses; 2) To study viruses biology and epidemiology; and 3) To develop molecular methodologies for their detection and elimination in their host plants.
