Financial Aid - Stipend to Cover Personal Living Expenses
Various fellowships are available, on a competitive basis, through the Plant Pathology Graduate Program and the Graduate Division. Students should note that the deadline for applications for UC Davis fellowships is January 15. Students can obtain information about fellowship programs by sending an e-mail request to the Plant Pathology Department Office or by visiting the Office of Graduate Studies or Financial Aid Office websites. Most students in the Plant Pathology Graduate Program are supported through appointments as Graduate Student Researchers (GSRs). Students holding a GSR appointment are employed by a faculty member to carry out research in support of the faculty member's program. By tradition within our department, the research done in fulfillment of the GSR obligation is the student's thesis research. For the 2008-2009 year, a 46% GSR appointment will pay approximately $23,559.74 per year.
